  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fishing Levy (Western Deep Water
Trawl Fishery) Regulations.*1*

Interpretation 


  2. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:

  "fishing permit" means a fishing permit for fishing in the Western Deep
Water Trawl Fishery;

  "Levy Act" means the Fishing Levy Act 1991;

  "Management Act" means the Fisheries Management Act 1991;

  "Western Deep Water Trawl Fishery" means the part of the Australian fishing
zone specified in the Schedule.

Amount of levy 


  3. For the purposes of section 6 of the Levy Act, the amount of levy
prescribed for a fishing permit granted in the period beginning on 1 July 1994
and ending at the end of 30 June 1995 is $3,056.

When levy is due and payable 


  4. For the purposes of section 110 of the Management Act, levy for a fishing
permit is due and payable:

  (a) if the fishing permit is granted on or before 23 December 1994 - on or
before 23 January 1995; and

  (b) if the fishing permit is granted after 23 December 1994 - before the end
of 28 days after the date of the grant.

  The area bounded by a line:

  (a) beginning at the point of latitude 21 degrees 37' south, longitude

114 degrees east; and

  (b) running:

    (i) from there south-westerly along the geodesic to the point of

latitude 21 degrees 41' south, longitude 113 degrees 57' east; and

    (ii) from there south-westerly along the geodesic to the point of

latitude 21 degrees 48' south, longitude 113 degrees 51' east; and

    (iii) from there southerly along the geodesic to the point of

latitude 22 degrees 01' south, longitude 113 degrees 47' east; and

    (iv) from there southerly along the geodesic to the point of

latitude 22 degrees 12' south, longitude 113 degrees 45' east; and

    (v) from there south-westerly along the geodesic to the point of

latitude 22 degrees 50' south, longitude 113 degrees 26' east; and

    (vi) from there south-westerly along the geodesic to the point of
