2 Fishing Industry (Use of Nets) Amendment (No. 4) No. 203, 1992 ˙ Short title 1. This order in council may be cited as the Fishing Industry (Use of Nets) Amendment Order (No. 4) 1992 . ˙ Amended order in council 2. The Fishing Industry (Use of Nets) Order 1989 is amended as set out in this order. ˙ Amendment of Schedule 3. Schedule (Part F, Serial No. 17)— omit, insert — ‘ 17 All waters within the following All year round boundaries— (a) starting at the northernmost point on Cape York, then in a north-easterly direction to the easternmost point on Eborac Island, then in a south- easterly direction to the northernmost point of Osnaburg Point, then by high water mark along the coastline to the start, excluding those waters north of 10˚41'17" south latitude; (a) As for Serial 1; and (b) As for (b) in Serial 8. ’. (b) starting at the easternmost point of Fly Point, then in a south-easterly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Ariel Bank, then in a south-easterly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of an unnamed reef complex comprising Turtle Island Reef and Brewis Island Reef, located at or about 10˚53' south latitude and 142˚42' east longitude, then in a south-easterly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Tern Island Reef, then
3 Fishing Industry (Use of Nets) Amendment (No. 4) No. 203, 1992 in a south-easterly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Bushy Island Reef, then southerly to the easternmost point of Pirie Islet, then south-easterly to the easternmost point of Nigger Head, then south-easterly to the northernmost point of Round Point, then by high water mark along the coast to the start; (c) starting at the easternmost point of Thorpe Point, then in a south- easterly direction to the northernmost point, 500 m north- west of Harvey Island, then in a northerly direction to the northernmost point, 500 m north of Nob Island, then in a south-easterly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Clerke Island, then in a southerly direction to the southernmost point, 500 m south of Clerke Island, then in a south- westerly direction to the southernmost point, 500 m south of Hicks Island, then in a westerly direction to the southernmost point, 500 m south of Orton Island, then in a westerly direction to the intersection of 12˚ south latitude with the meridian 143˚13' east longitude, then in a south-westerly direction to the intersection of 12˚05' south latitude and 143˚10' east longitude, then in a south-westerly direction to the intersection of 12˚09' south latitude and 143˚07'30" east longitude, then in a southerly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Tyrrel Reefs, then generally south-westerly and westerly, 500 m around the southern ends of Tyrrel Reefs to the
4 Fishing Industry (Use of Nets) Amendment (No. 4) No. 203, 1992 intersection with a point 500 m off the mainland at 12˚12' south latitude, then in a southerly direction adjacent to the mainland for a distance of 500 m from low water mark to the intersection with the parallel of latitude which passes through the easternmost point of the mainland at Bolt Head, then in a south-easterly direction to the northernmost point, 500 m north of Ada Reef, then in a south-easterly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Lion Reef, then in a south-easterly direction to the northernmost point 500 m north of Daniell Reef, then in a south- easterly direction to the easternmost point of Andrew Reef, then in a south-easterly direction to the intersection of 12˚25' south latitude and 143˚18' east longitude, then south along the meridian of 143˚18' to its intersection with 12˚30' south latitude, then in a south-easterly direction to the intersection of 12˚33'30" south latitude and 143˚21'12" east longitude, then in a south-easterly direction to the northern most point of Rocky Island, then in a south-easterly direction to the northernmost point of Restoration Island, then in a south- westerly direction to the intersection of 12˚38' south latitude and 143˚26'48" east longitude then in a south-westerly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Lloyd Island, then in a south- easterly direction to the intersection of 12˚47'20" south latitude and 143˚25'20" east longitude, then in a south-easterly direction to the northernmost point, 500 m north of Waight Bank, then in an easterly
5 Fishing Industry (Use of Nets) Amendment (No. 4) No. 203, 1992 direction to the north-easternmost point, 500 m north east of Lansdown Reef, then in a south-easterly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Rocky Island, then in a south-easterly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Ashton Rock Reef, then in a southerly direction to the easternmost point, 500 m east of Hammond Reef, then southerly to the intersection of 13˚09' south latitude and 143˚33'30" east longitude, then west along that parallel to its intersection with the mainland, then by high water mark along the coastline to the start; (d) starting at the intersection of the parallel of latitude 13˚09' south with the mainland, then due east along that parallel to a point 2.7 n miles from low water mark to near 143˚33'30" east longitude, then generally south by a line 2.7 n miles from the coastline at low water mark to its intersection with a line from the north head of Rocky River and the westernmost point of Wilkie Island, then in a westerly direction along that line to the north head of Rocky River, then by high water mark along the coastline to the start; (e) starting at the north head of Rocky River to the westernmost point of Wilkie Island, then in a south- easterly direction to the easternmost point on the most easterly island in the Cliff Islands group, then in a south-easterly direction to the intersection with the mainland at the north head of the Marrett River, then by high water mark along the
6 Fishing Industry (Use of Nets) Amendment (No. 4) No. 203, 1992 coastline to the start; (f) starting at the south head of Bizant River, then in a north-easterly direction to the westernmost point of Bathurst Head, then in a north- easterly direction to the westernmost point of Denham Island, then along the foreshores at high water mark to the southernmost point of Denham Island, then in a north-easterly direction to the northernmost point of the Channel Rocks, then in a south-easterly direction to the intersection of 14˚09'30" south latitude, and 144˚30' east longitude then east to the intersection of 14˚09'30" south latitude and 144˚31'30" east longitude, then in a south-easterly direction to the intersection of 14˚15' south latitude and 144˚36' east longitude, then in a south-easterly direction to the navigation light on Barrow Island, then in a westerly direction to the northernmost point of Barrow Point, then by high water mark along the coastline to the start; (g) starting at the intersection of 14˚26'15" south latitude and 144˚37'05" east longitude near the north head of Saltwater Creek, then in a south-easterly direction to the northernmost point of Baron Reef, then in a south-easterly direction to the northernmost point of Noble Island, then in a south-easterly direction to the northernmost point of Morris Island, then in a south- easterly direction to the navigation light on Pethebridge Islet, then in an easterly direction to the northernmost point of the
7 Fishing Industry (Use of Nets) Amendment (No. 4) No. 203, 1992 northernmost reef or island of the Turtle Group, then in a south- easterly direction to Lookout Point, then in a southerly direction by high water mark to the intersection of 14˚51' south latitude with the mainland, then in a south-easterly direction to the Cape Flattery Town Jetty near the intersection of 14˚57'45" south latitude and 145˚18'40" east longitude, then by high water mark along the coastline to the start; (h) starting at the northernmost point of Murray Reefs, then in a south- easterly direction to the northernmost point of Cape Bedford, then by high water mark along the coastline to the start; (i) starting at Indian Head, then in a southerly direction to Monkhouse Point, then in a southerly direction to Grave Point, then by high water mark along the coastline to the start; (j) starting at the intersection of 145˚27'30" east longitude with the mainland near the north head of the Daintree River, then in a southerly direction to the light at Island Point near Port Douglas, then by high water mark along the coastline to the start.
