Fisheries (Value of Fish) Order 1997

I make the following order under section 269 of the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 .30 May 1997

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Fisheries (Value of Fish) Order 1997 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on 30 June 1997. 3Interpretation (1)  In this order Act means the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 . (2)  An expression in this order that is defined in the Act or regulations or rules made under the Act has the same meaning as so defined. 4Value of fishFor the purpose of section 269 of the Act – (a) the values of each unit of weight of fish or each fish of a non-protected species are as follows:

5RevocationThe Fisheries (Value of Fish) Order 1996 is revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order) This order –

(a) declares the value of each unit of weight of certain specified species of fish for the purpose of imposing penalties for certain offences under the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 ; and (b) revokes the previous order in relation to this matter.
