Fisheries (Salmonid) Regulations 2006
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1.Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Fisheries Regulations 1998 to provide further for the taking and possession of salmonids in certain Victorian waters.
2.Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 153 of the Fisheries Act1995.
3.Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 6 June 2006.
4.Offence to take salmonids from Lake Wendouree in closed season
For regulation 506(3) of the Fisheries Regulations 1998[1] substitute—
"(3)Despite the closed season specified in the Table in sub-regulation (1) for salmonids (brown trout, rainbow trout, Atlantic salmon and chinook salmon), a person must not take or possess salmonids from Lake Wendouree during that closed season.
Penalty:10 penalty units."
5.Amendment of Part A of Schedule 11
In Part A of Schedule 11 to the Fisheries Regulations 1998 omit "Lilydale Lake".
6.New Part B of Schedule 11 substituted
For Part B of Schedule 11 to the Fisheries Regulations 1998 substitute—

Inland waters for the purposes of paragraphs (a) and (c) in relation to salmonids in the Table in regulation 503(3)
