Fisheries Research and Development Corporation Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations are taken to have commenced on 1 July 1997.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Fisheries Research and Development Corporation Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 4A (Levies attached to the Corporation)

3.1   Paragraph 4A (1) (c):

Omit the paragraph, substitute:

“(c)

a levy of the kind mentioned in paragraph 5 (1) (b) of the Fisheries Agreements (Payments) Act 1991.”.

3.2   Subregulation 4A (2):

Omit the subregulation, substitute:

 “(2) For paragraph 5 (3) (a) of the Act, for the financial year beginning on 1 July 1996, the research component of a levy mentioned in subregulation (1) is:

• (a)

  for a levy mentioned in paragraph 4A (1) (b)—6.84% of the levy; and

• (b)

  for a levy mentioned in paragraph 4A (1) (c)—2.94% of the levy.”.
