2 Commencement These Regulations commence, or are taken to have commenced, as follows:
(a)
on 1 July 1997 — regulations 1 to 3 and Schedule 1;
(b)
on 1 July 1998 — Schedule 2;
(c)
on gazettal — regulation 4 and Schedule 3.
3 Amendment of Fisheries Research and Development Corporation Regulations
Schedules 1 and 2 amend the Fisheries Research and
Development Corporation Regulations.
4 Amendment of Fisheries Research and Development Corporation Regulations (Amendment) Schedule 3 amends the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation Regulations (Amendment) (Statutory Rules 1998 No. 90).

Levies attached to the Corporation
(1)
For paragraph 5 (1) (a) of the Act, the levy imposed by section 5 of the
Fishing Levy Act 1991 is attached to the Corporation.
(2) For paragraph 5 (3) (a) of the Act, for the financial year beginning on 1 July 1997, the research component of the levy mentioned in subregulation (1) is 9.5% of the levy.
(3) For paragraph 5 (3) (b) of the Act, the fishing industry is the primary industry to which the levy mentioned in subregulation (1) relates.
