Fisheries (Recreational) (Bream) Regulations 1997
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to ensure the responsible use and long term sustainability of bream stocks in Victoria.
2. Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 81 of the Fisheries Act 1968.
3. Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on
1 October 1997.
4. Principal Regulations
In these Regulations the Fisheries (Recreational)
Regulations 19921 are called the Principal
Regulations.

5. Increase in size limit for bream taken from Victorian waters
In the Table in regulation 16 of the Principal
Regulations, for—
"Bream (all species) 24" substitute— "Bream (all species) 26". 6. Introduction of bag limit for bream taken from Victorian waters
In the Table in regulation 19(1) of the Principal
Regulations, before—
"King George All Victorian 20" whiting waters insert— "Bream (all All Victorian A maximum of 10 species) waters fish per day of
which no more than
2 fish may be equal
to or exceed 36 cm
in length".
