The Australian Fisheries Management Authority makes the following determination in accordance with a decision made by the Commissioners under section 23 of the Fisheries Administration Act 1991.

1  Name

This instrument may be cited as the Fisheries Management (Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Actual Live Weight Value of a Statutory Fishing Right) Determination 2023.

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on 1 December 2023.

3  Cessation

This instrument ceases on 30 November 2024. 

4  Authority

This instrument is made pursuant to paragraph 17(6)(aa) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 under subclause 18.3 of the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan 1995 (the Plan).

5  Definitions

A term used in this instrument that is defined for the purposes of the Plan has the same meaning in this instrument as it has in that Plan.

Note:          Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meanings in this instrument. 

6  Determination of the actual live weight value of a statutory fishing right

The actual live weight value of a statutory fishing right for the fishing season in the SBT Fishery that commences on 1 December 2023 and ends on 30 November 2024 is 1.30152 kilograms.
