Fisheries Management Act 1991

I, GLENN HURRY, delegate of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority, make this order under subsection 43 (2) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991, being satisfied that:

(a) it is necessary to take action under section 43 of the Fisheries Management Act 1991; and

(b)   the action is consistent with AFMA’s objectives; and

(c)   no other action is appropriate.

  1. Name of Order

This Order is the Fisheries Management (Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark) Temporary Order 2008.

  1. Commencement

This Order commences on the day after it is registered.

  1. Change to area of Commonwealth GAB Trawl Sector

The description of the Commonwealth GAB Trawl Sector set out in the table in clause 3 of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery Management Plan 2003 is taken to apply as if:

(a)    item 14 of the table read:

“North‑westerly along the geodesic to 33° 56¢ 00² S, 132° 30¢ 00² E”; and

(b)    item 15 of the table read:

“Westerly along the geodesic to 33° 32¢ 00² S, 132° 00¢ 00² E”.
