Fisheries Management Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Fisheries Management Act 1991.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Fisheries Management Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE:  These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation

Act 1901, s 48.]

2.   Regulation 4B (Fisheries)

2.1   After paragraph 4B (c), insert:

• “(ca)

  the Heard Island and McDonald Islands Fishery, being fishing activity engaged in in the area set out in Part 3A of Schedule 1A;”.

3.   Part 4 (Surveillance and Enforcement)

3.1   Division 1 (Warrants):

Omit the Division.

4.   Schedule 1 (Forms)

4.1   Omit the heading, substitute:

 “SCHEDULE 1 Regulations 24, 25,

 26 and 27

FORMS”.

4.2   Form 1 (Search warrant under subsection 85 (1)):

Omit the form.

5.   Schedule 2 (Fees)

5.1   Item 1:

Omit the item, substitute:

“1	Application for the grant of a fishing permit in respect of a boat for a formally managed fishery other than the Heard Island and McDonald Islands Fishery	170
1A	Application for the grant of a fishing permit in respect of a boat for the Heard Island and McDonald Islands Fishery	1,800”.
