FISHERIES MANAGEMENT NOTICE No. 11

PROHIBITION RELATING TO THE TAKING OF PRAWNS IN THE TORRES STRAIT PROTECTED ZONE AND CERTAIN WATERS OUTSIDE BUT NEAR THAT ZONE

IN accordance with the powers conferred by paragraph 35 (1) (a) of the Torres Strait Fisheries Act 1984, the Protected Zone Joint Authority, in pursuance of paragraph 16 (1) (a) of that Act, hereby prohibits the taking of prawns (family Penaeidae) in the area of the prawn fishery during the period commencing at 0200 hours Greenwich mean time on 13 December 1985 and finishing at 0200 hours Greenwich mean time on 28 February 1986.
