Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to remove the status of Australian Grayling as a protected fish, and as a protected fish the possession of which is absolutely prohibited, under the Fisheries Management Act 1994, due to its listing as an endangered species under the Act.

This Regulation is made under the Fisheries Management Act 1994, including section 289 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Fisheries Management (General) Amendment (Australian
Grayling) Regulation 2015.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Fisheries Management (General) Regulation 2010

Clause 5 Protected fish

Omit “Australian Grayling” and “Prototroctes maraena” wherever occurring in
Part 2 of Tables 1 and 2.
