Fisheries Management Amendment

(Presumed Extinct and Vulnerable

Species) Order 2011

under the

Fisheries Management Act 1994

The Fisheries Scientific Committee established under the Fisheries Management Act 1994, in pursuance of section 220D of the Fisheries Management Act 1994, makes the following Order.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to give effect to the final determinations of the Fisheries Scientific

Committee:

(a) to list the marine worm, Hadrachaeta aspeta, as a species presumed extinct, and
(b) to list the Bousfields marsh-hopper, Microrchestia bousfieldi, as a vulnerable species.

This Order is made under section 220D of the Fisheries Management Act 1994.

This Order is the Fisheries Management Amendment (Presumed Extinct and Vulnerable Species) Order 2011.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

(1) Schedule 4 Endangered species, populations and ecological
communities

Insert in alphabetical order in Part 4 under the heading “Fish”:

Hadrachaeta aspeta Hutchings, 1977 marine worm
(2) Schedule 5 Vulnerable species and ecological communities
Insert in alphabetical order in Part 1 under the heading “Fish”:
Microrchestia bousfieldi Lowry & Peart, 2010 Bousfields marsh-hopper
