(Noxious Fish) Regulation 2011

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Fisheries Management Act 1994.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to update the species of fish that are specified as noxious fish
in the Fisheries Management Act 1994.

This Regulation is made under the Fisheries Management Act 1994, including section 209A.

Fisheries Management Amendment (Noxious Fish)

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Fisheries Management Amendment (Noxious
Fish) Regulation 2011.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Fisheries Management Act 1994 No 38

(1) Schedule 6C Noxious fish and noxious marine vegetation

Omit “Pangasius gigas” from Column 1.

Insert instead “Pangasianodon gigas”.

(2)	Schedule 6C, Part 1, Division 1
Omit from Columns 1, 2 and 3 of Division 1 of Part 1 the matter relating to “Pangasianodon hypophthalmus (Pangasiidae family)”.
