FISHERIES MANAGEMENT AMENDMENT ACT 1997

No 153—PROCLAMATION

Gordon Samuels, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Fisheries Management Amendment Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 July 1998 as the day on which that Act (except Schedule 5) commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This proclamation commences the uncommenced provisions of the Fisheries Management Amendment Act 1997, Schedule 5 to that Act (miscellaneous amendments) commenced on 1 May 1998. The provisions commenced by this Proclamation include amendments to the Fisheries Manangment Act 1994 relating to threatened species conservation, recreational freshwater fishing fees, special fisheries trust funds and charter fishing boats and consequential amendments to other Acts.
