FISHERIES MANAGEMENT ACT 1994—REGULATION

(Relating to contributions towards the funds of CFAC)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Fisheries Management Act 1994, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Fisheries Management (General) Regulation 1995 is amended by inserting after clause 266 (4) the following subclause:

(5) This clause ceases to have effect in respect of a commercial

fishing licence, registration or authorisation issued, renewed or given

on or after 1 February 1996.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to remove the requirement, on and from 1 February 1996, that commercial fishers and crew members make a contribution toward the costs of the New South Wales Commercial Fishing Advisory Council.

This Regulation is made under the Fisheries Management Act 1994, in particular section 237 (Annual contributions towards CFAC’s costs) and section 289 (the general regulation making power).
