FISHERIES MANAGEMENT ACT 1994—PROCLAMATION

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, on the recommendation of the Minister for Fisheries, and in pursuance of section 42 (2) of the Fisheries Management Act 1994, do, by this my Proclamation, amend Schedule 1 to that Act by omitting the descriptions of the following fisheries:

Ocean hauling fishery

Ocean prawn trawl fishery

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to omit the descriptions of the ocean hauling fishery and the ocean prawn trawl fishery from Schedule 1 to the Fisheries Management Act 1994 so that those fisheries will no longer be designated as share management fisheries.

This proclamation is made under section 42 (2) of the Fisheries Management Act 1994.
