His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Fisheries Management Act 1994.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to update the names of officers who may sign certain certificates that are admissible as evidence in proceedings for an offence under the Fisheries Management Act 1994 or the regulations under that Act.

This Regulation is made under the Fisheries Management Act 1994, including sections 280 and 289 (the general regulation-making power).

1     Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Fisheries Management (General) Amendment
(Prescribed Officers) Regulation 2000.

2 Amendment of Fisheries Management (General) Regulation 1995

The Fisheries Management (General) Regulation 1995 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

Clause 271 Evidence in relation to fishing authorities

Omit clause 271 (a)–(i). Insert instead:

(a) Director Fisheries Services,
(b) Director Conservation,
(c) Director Aquaculture,
(d) Principal Manager Commercial and Licensing,
(e) Principal Manager Fisheries Services,
(f) Principal Manager Recreational Fisheries,
(g) Chief Fisheries Officer,
(h) Share Registrar,

(i)        Registered Fish Receiver Registrar.
