Citation 


  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fisheries Levy (Southern Bluefin
Tuna Fishery) Regulations.*1*

Commencement 


  2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 December 1985.

FISHERIES LEVY (SOUTHERN BLUEFIN TUNA FISHERY) REGULATIONS - REG 3 
Interpretation 


  3. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:

  "Fisheries Act" means the Fisheries Act 1952;

  "plan of management" means the plan of management entitled "Plan of
Management No. 1 - Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery" determined by the Minister
on 10 October 1985 under subsection 7B (1) of the Fisheries Act, as that plan
of management is in force from time to time;

  "the Act" means the Fisheries Levy Act 1984.

Prescribed units of fishing capacity 


  5. For the purposes of paragraphs 5 (bc) and (bd) of the Act, a unit of
fishing capacity allocated in accordance with the plan of management is a
prescribed unit of fishing capacity.

Amounts of levy 


  6.


  (2) The amount of levy imposed by paragraph 5 (bc) of the Act on the
allocation of a prescribed unit of fishing capacity is $112.90.


  (3) The amount of levy imposed by paragraph 5 (bd) of the Act on the renewal
of the allocation of a prescribed unit of fishing capacity is $112.90.
