Fisheries Levy
Regulations
I, THE
ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with
the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following
Regulations under the Fisheries Levy Act
1984.

Citation
1. These Regulations may
be cited as the Fisheries Levy Regulations.
Interpretation
2. In these Regulations “the
Act” means the Fisheries Levy Act 1984.
Prescribed licences
3. (1) The following classes
of licences, namely licences endorsed under subsection 9 (4) of the Fisheries Act 1952 at the time the
licences are granted and licences not so endorsed, are prescribed for the
purposes of paragraph 5 (a) of the Act.
(2) The following class of
endorsements, namely endorsements made under subsection 9 (4) of the Fisheries Act 1952 on licences already
in force when these Regulations come into operation, is prescribed for the
purposes of paragraph 5 (b) of the Act.
Rate of levy in respect of the grant
or endorsement of a fisheries licence
4. For the purposes of section 6 of the
Fisheries Levy Act 1984, the amount of
$295
is specified in respect of a licence included in a class of fisheries licences
prescribed by subregulation 3 (1) and an endorsement included in a class of
endorsements prescribed by subregulation 3 (2).
