Fisheries Levy (Northern Prawn Fishery) Regulations 2(Amendment)

  

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Fisheries Levy Act 1984.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 29 November 1991.

  

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Fisheries Levy (Northern Prawn Fishery) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

   

3.   Regulation 2 (Interpretation)

3.1   Regulation 2 (definition of “plan of management”)

Omit the definition, substitute:

“‘plan of management’ means the plan of management entitled ‘Northern Prawn Fishery Management Plan 1989’ determined by the Minister on 25 May 1990 under subsection 7b (1) of the Fisheries Act 1952 and gazetted on 30 May 1990, as that plan of management is in force from time to time;”.

  

4.   Regulation 3 (Prescribed units of fishing capacity)

4.1   Regulation 3:

Add at the end:

 

• “(f)

  a Class A unit that has been surrendered under paragraph 20a.2 (ii) of the plan of management.”.

  

5.   Regulation 4 (Amounts of levy)

5.1   Omit the Table, substitute:
