Fisheries Levy
(North West Slope Trawl Fishery) Regulations
I, THE
GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of
the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Fisheries Levy Act 1984.

Citation
1. These Regulations may
be cited as the Fisheries Levy (North West Slope Trawl Fishery) Regulations.
Interpretation
2. In these Regulations,
unless the contrary intention appears:
“endorsement” means an endorsement of
a licence under subsection 9 (4) of the Fisheries
Act 1952;
“licence” means a licence granted
under subsection 9 (2) or (3) of the Fisheries
Act 1952;
“notice” means Fisheries Notice
No. NWS 1 published in the Gazette on
15 June 1990 and in force under section 8 of the Fisheries Levy Act 1984;
“the Act” means the Fisheries Levy Act 1984.
Endorsements
prescribed under paragraph 5 (b) of the Act
3. For the purposes of
paragraph 5 (b) of the Act, each of the endorsements referred to in paragraph 6
of the notice is prescribed.
Amount
of levy under subsection 6 (1) of the Act
4. For the purposes of
subsection 6 (1) of the Act, $4,100 is specified as the amount of levy for a
licence bearing one or both of the endorsements referred to in paragraph 6 of
the notice.
Repeal
of the Fisheries Levy (North-West Shelf Deep-water Trawl Fishery) Regulations
5. Statutory Rules 1988
No. 67 and 1989 No. 164 are repealed.
