  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fisheries Levy (Gemfish Fishery)
Regulations.*1*

FISHERIES LEVY (GEMFISH FISHERY) REGULATIONS - REG 2 
Interpretation 


  2. In these Regulations:

  "plan of management" means the Gemfish Fishery Management Plan determined by
the Minister on 7 June 1991 under subsection 7B (1) of the Fisheries Act 1952
and notified in the Gazette on 13 June 1991;

  "the Act" means the Fisheries Levy Act 1984.

Prescribing units of fishing capacity 


  3. For the purposes of paragaph 5 (bc) of the Act, a unit of fishing
capacity allocated in accordance with the plan of management is a prescribed
unit of fishing capacity.

FISHERIES LEVY (GEMFISH FISHERY) REGULATIONS - REG 4 
Amount of levy 


  4. For the purposes of subsection 6 (1) of the Act, the amount of levy
imposed on the allocation of a prescribed unit of fishing capacity mentioned
in regulation 3 is 35 cents.
