Fisheries Levy (East Coast Tuna Longline Fishery) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Fisheries Levy Act 1984.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Fisheries Levy (East Coast Tuna Longline Fishery) Regulations.

Interpretation

2. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting the definition of “notice” and substituting the following definition:

“ ‘notice’ means Fisheries Notice No. TEC 1, published in the Gazette on 31 October 1989 and in force under section 8 of the Act;”.

Prescribed classes of endorsement—paragraph 5 (b) of the Act

3. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) “(d)” and substituting “6 (a)”;

(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) “(e)” and substituting “6 (b)”; and

(c) by omitting from paragraph (c) “(f)” and substituting “6 (c)”.
