Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Fisheries Levy Act 1984.

1.   Amendment

1.1 The Fisheries Levy (East Coast Tuna Longline Fishery)

 Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE:

 These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48]

2.   Regulation 4 (Prescribed classes of endorsements—paragraph 5 (b) of the Act)

2.1   Paragraph 4 (b):

Omit the paragraph, substitute:

• “(b)

  endorsements of the kind referred to in paragraph 6 (b) of Fisheries Notice No. TEC 5 and in force immediately before 15 December 1991;”.

2.2   After paragraph 4 (b), insert:

• “(ba)

  endorsements of the kind referred to in paragraph 6 (b) of Fisheries Notice No. TEC 5, other than endorsements referred to in paragraph (b);”.

2.3   Paragraphs 4 (d) and 4(e):

Omit the paragraphs.

3.   Regulation 5 (Amounts of Levy)

3.1   Paragraph 5 (a):

Omit “$2,000”, substitute “$2,350”.

3.2   Paragraph 5 (b):

Omit “$2,000”, substitute “$2,075”.

3.3   After paragraph (b), insert:

• “(ba)

  for endorsement of a licence included in the class of endorsements prescribed in paragraph 4 (ba)—$1,575;”.

3.4   Paragraph 5 (c):

Omit “$1,000”, substitute “$1,075”.

3.5   Paragraphs 5 (d) and 5 (e):

Omit the paragraphs.

3.6   Paragraph 5 (f):

Omit “$1,000”, substitute “$825”.

3.7   Paragraph 5 (g):

Omit “$1,000”, substitute “$825”.
