I, PHILIP MICHAEL JEFFERY, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under subsection 2 (1) of the Fisheries Legislation Amendment (Compliance and Deterrence Measures and Other Matters) Act 2004, fix 6 August 2004 as the day on which Schedule 1 to that Act commences.
