Fisheries Act 1995

Fisheries (Fees and Levies) Regulations 2002

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to increase
certain fees and levies under the Fisheries

Regulations 1998.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 153 of the Fisheries Act 1995.

3. Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 April

2002.

4. Fishing boat registration fees increased

(1) In regulations 605(2) and 605(3) of the Fisheries

Regulations 19981, for "$33" substitute "$34".

(2) In regulation 611(2) of the Fisheries Regulations

1998, for "$33" substitute "$34".

5. Commercial fishery licence fees increased

In regulations 614 and 624 of the Fisheries

Regulations 1998, for "$33" substitute "$34".

6. Aquaculture licence fees and levy increased

In regulation 617A of the Fisheries Regulations

1998—

(a)

in sub-regulation (1), for "$1117" substitute "$1145";

(b)

in sub-regulation (3), for "$176" substitute "$180";

(c)

in sub-regulation (6), for "$880" (where twice occurring) substitute "$902".

7. General permit levy increased

In regulation 617B of the Fisheries Regulations

1998, for "$3075" substitute "$3152".

8. Individual quota units transfer fees increased

In regulation 622 of the Fisheries Regulations

1998—

(a)

in paragraph (a), for "$176" substitute "$180";

(b)

in paragraphs (b), (c) and (d), for "$33" substitute "$34".

9. General permit fees increased

In regulation 625 of the Fisheries Regulations

1998—

(a)

in sub-regulations (1) and (3), for "$98" substitute "$100";

(b)

in sub-regulation (2), for "$258" substitute "$264".
