Fisheries (Fees and Levies) Regulations 2001
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to increase
certain fees and levies under the FisheriesRegulations 1998.
2. Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 153 of the Fisheries Act 1995.
3. Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 April
2001.
4. Fishing boat registration fees increased
(1) In regulation 611(2) of the Fisheries Regulations 19981, for "fee of $32" substitute "transfer fee of $33".
(2) In regulation 605(2) and (3) of the Fisheries
Regulations 1998, for "$32" substitute "$33".

5. Commercial fishery licence fees increased
In regulations 614 and 624 of the Fisheries
Regulations 1998, for "$32" substitute "$33".
6. Aquaculture licence fees and levy increased
In regulation 617A of the Fisheries Regulations
1998—
(a)
in sub-regulation (1), for "$1090" substitute "$1117";
(b)
in sub-regulation (3), for "$172" substitute "$176";
(c)
in sub-regulation (6), for "$859" (where twice occurring) substitute "$880".
7. General permit levy increased
In regulation 617B of the Fisheries Regulations
1998, for "$3000" substitute "$3075".
8. Individual quota units transfer fee increased
In regulation 622 of the Fisheries Regulations
1998, for "$172" substitute "$176".
9. General permit fees increased
In regulation 625 of the Fisheries Regulations
1998—
(a)
for "$96" (where twice occurring) substitute "$98";
(b) for "$252" substitute "$258".
10. New Schedule 12 substituted
For Schedule 12 of the Fisheries Regulations 1998 substitute—
