Fisheries (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1996

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to increase the fees specified in relation to the administration and processing of various fishing registrations, licences and permits specified in the Fisheries Act 1968.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 13AA,

14, 15, 22 and 81 of the Fisheries Act 1968.

3. Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 April

1996.

4. Fees

In the Fisheries (Fees) Regulations 19921, for the
Schedule substitute—

Lakes, Lake Tyers, Tamboon Inlet and
Mallacoota Inlet, an additional fee of $152.00

1 S.R. No. 153/1992 reprinted to S.R. No. 17/1994 and subsequently

amended by S.R. Nos 16/1995 and 37/1995.

2 Under section 15(1)(g) of the Fisheries Act 1968, the minimum fee payable

for a crayfish licence is $100.00.

Under section 22(1A) of the Fisheries Act 1968, the fee payable for an

amateur netting licence is $35.00.
