(Relating to the sorting charge for fish)

NEW SOUTH WALES

[Published in Gazette No. 20 of 14 February 1992]

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Fisheries and Oyster Farms Act 1935, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

ROBERT WEBSTER

Acting Minister for Natural, Resources.

The Fisheries and Oyster Farms (General) Regulation 1989 is amended by omitting from clause 47 the matter “$3” and by inserting instead the matter “$10”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to increase the sorting charge for fish (payable by the owner of the fish) from $3 per crate to $10 per crate. The charge applies when it is necessary for an inspector to sort the whole or any part of a consignment of fish for the purposes of inspection because of the inclusion of fish which are diseased, unwholesome, in a condition known as “earthy” or otherwise unfit for human consumption or which are prohibited size fish.
