FISHERIES AND OYSTER FARMS ACT 1935 - REGULATION
(Relating to prohibited size of Silver Sand Whiting
and certain prescribed forms)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Fisheries and Oyster Farms Act 1935, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Fisheries and Oyster Farms (General) Regulation 1989 is
amended:
| (a) | by inserting in the Table to clause 32 under the matter relating to Rainbow Trout the following matter: |
Whiting, sand (silver) Sillago ciliata 27
| (b) | by omitting item 12 (a) from Form 1 in Schedule 1 and by |
inserting instead the following item:
(a) Method/s of fishing for which used or ......................
intended to be used (e.g. hand line, ..................... trolling, long line, set line, poling, ...................... fishtraps, craypot, mesh net, hauling or ....................... gill nets etc.): ......................
| (b) | by omitting the Note from Form 14 in Schedule 1 and by |
inserting instead the following Note:

NOTE The Director-General may cancel or suspend this permit if its holder is convicted of an offence against the Fisheries and Oyster Farms Act 1935 or the regulations under that Act, or if a condition to which it is subject is breached.
(d)
by inserting in Form 19 in Schedule 1 after the words “Indicate main fishing” the word “method”;
(e)
by omitting from Form 20 in Schedule 1 the words “Macquarie Cod” and by inserting instead the words “Macquarie Perch”.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Fisheries and Oyster Farms
(General) Regulation 1989:
(a) to specify a prohibited size for Silver Sand Whiting; and
(b) to make minor corrections to Forms 1, 14, 19 and 20.
