FISHERIES AMENDMENT REGULATIONS (No. 8) 1990

Made by the Lieutenant-Governor and Deputy of the Governor in Executive
Council.
Citation

1.These regulations may be cited as the Fisheries Amendment Regulations

(No. 8) 1990.

Regulation 2 amended

2.Regulation 2 of the Fisheries Regulations 1933* is amended by inserting

after subregulation (3a) the following subregulations—

. (3aa) A fishing boat licence shall not be issued under this regulation in respect of a boat bearing the same name as a boat currently licensed under this regulation unless the first-mentioned boat is given a distinguishing serial number or a distinguishing additional name.

(3ab) A renewal of a fishing boat licence shall not be issued under this regulation in respect of a boat unless the boat bears the same name as it had when it was first licensed under this regulation.

(3ac) Subregulation (3ab) applies whether or not there has been a change in the ownership of the boat or in the licensed fishing boat number allocated to the boat.
