This regulation amends the Fisheries Regulation 1995 . ˙ Replacement of sch 1 3. Schedule 1— omit, insert — ‘ SCHEDULE 1 ‘ CLOSED SEASONS section 14(1) ˙ ‘ Barramundi—Gulf of Carpentaria ‘ 1. For barramundi in the Gulf of Carpentaria, the closed seasons are the following periods— (a) midday on 9 October 1997 to midday on 23 January 1998; (b) midday on 29 September 1998 to midday on 25 January 1999; (c) midday on 2 October 1999 to midday on 28 January 2000; (d) midday on 6 October 2000 to midday on 31 January 2001; (e) midday on 9 October 2001 to midday on 20 January 2002; (f) midday on 14 October 2002 to midday on 25 January 2003; (g) midday on 3 October 2003 to midday on 28 January 2004; (h) midday on 7 October 2004 to midday on 1 February 2005.

For barramundi, other than in the Gulf of Carpentaria, the closed season is from midday on 1 November to midday on 1 February. ˙ ‘ Spanner crab ‘ 3. For spanner crab, the closed season is from midnight on 20 November to midday on 20 December.’. ˙ Replacement of sch 2, s 46A (Prohibited activities) 4. Schedule 2, section 46A— omit, insert — ˙ ‘ Prohibited activities ‘ 46A. Taking or possessing spanner crabs is prohibited in the waters described in this division during the stated periods. ˙ ‘ Managed area A—weekends and Mondays ‘ 46B. Managed area A from midnight on Friday to midnight on Monday. ˙ ‘ Managed areas A and B ‘ 46C. Managed area A and managed area B from midnight on 20 November to midnight on 5 January.’. ENDNOTES 1.
