s1 2 s3 Fisheries Amendment (No. 4) No. 423, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Fisheries Amendment Regulation (No. 4) 1996 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Fisheries Regulation 1995 . ˙ Amendment of s 77 (Aquaculture) 3. Section 77(6)— omit, insert— ‘ (6) A person may release aquaculture fisheries resources into Queensland waters only if— (a) the person holds an authority allowing the person to release the fisheries resources into the waters; or (b) the fisheries resources occur naturally in the area they are to be released in; or (c) the fisheries resources are mentioned in schedule 18, column 1 and are released in the river basin mentioned in schedule 18, column 3 with the reference number mentioned in schedule 18, column 2. ‘ (7) Subsection (6)(b) and (c) apply only to privately owned waters. ‘ (8) In this section— “reference number” , of a river basin, means the reference number identifying the river basin on the Queensland river basins map held by the department. 1 ’. 1 The map may be inspected at the Department of Primary Industries, Fisheries and Forestry, fisheries group, 5th floor Forestry House, 160 Mary Street, Brisbane and at the Queensland Fisheries Management Authority, level 6, 40 Tank Street, Brisbane.
