AN ACT to amend the Fisheries Act, 1899.

[Assented to, loth December, 4902.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with

the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legis-

assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1.     THIS Act may be cited as the Fisheries Act Amendment

Act, 1902, and shall be read as one with the Fisheries Act, 1 899, Shor hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2.      SECTION two of the principal Act is amended by omitting

the definition of Western Australian waters, and by inserting in Amendment of 63

Viet., No. 47, see. 2.

place thereof The words 'Western Australian waters' include every tidal river, and every estuary or arm of the sea, and the sea to three miles from high water mark, and the waters of every river,

Fisheries Act—Amendment,

stream, brook, creek, lake, or lagoon which at any time of the year have access to the sea, and notwithstanding that the land covered by the water is private land alienated by the Crown ; but any waters may be exempted, by proclamation, from the operation of this Act."
