FISH RIVER WATER SUPPLY ADMINISTRATION ACT

1945—REGULATION

(Relating to the price of water supplied by the Administrator of Fish River

Water Supply)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Fish River Water Supply Administration Act 1945, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Fish River Water Supply Administration (Price of Water)

Regulation 1991 is amended:

(a) by omitting from clause 2 the matter “, and in each. succeeding year commencing on 1 January,”;

(b) by inserting at the end of clause 2 the following subclause:

(2) The price to be paid by a council for water supplied to the council by the Administrator in the year commencing on 1 January 1993, and in each succeeding year commencing on 1 January, is 32.2 cents per kilolitre.

(c) by omitting from clause 3 the matter “, and in each succeeding

year Commencing on I January,”;

(d) by inserting at the end of clause 3 the following subclause:

(2) The minimum amount to be paid by a council for the supply of water in the year commencing on 1 January 1993, and in each succeeding year commencing on 1 January, irrespective of the quantity of water supplied is:

(a) in the case of the Council of the City of Greater Lithgow—$673,624; and

(b) in the case of the Council of the Shire of Oberon—$85,008.

(e) by omitting clause 4 and by inserting instead the following clause:

Previous prices and amounts superseded

4. The prices and amounts fixed by this Regulation in respect of any period are in lieu of those fixed by any Regulation made under the Fish River Water Supply Administration Act 1945 before the commencement of this Regulation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Fish River Water Supply Administration (Price of Water) Regulation 1991 to increase the price to be paid by councils for water supplied from 1 January 1993 by the Administrator of the Fish River Water Supply. Minimurn amounts to be paid by the Councils of the City of

Greater Lithgow and the Shire of Oberon (irrespective of the quantity of water

supplied) are also increased to correspond with the change in price.

This Regulation is made under the Fish River Water Supply Administration Act

1945, including section 8A and section 19 (1) (general regulation making power).
