Amendment Regulation 1998

Fish River Water Supply Administration Act 1945

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Fish River Water Supply Administration Act 1945.

Explanatory note

The objects of this Regulation are:

(a)	to increase the price per kilolitre to be paid by any council for water
supplied under the Fish River Water Supply Administration Act 1945

i n 1998 and any subsequent year, and

(b)	to increase the minimum amount to be paid for such water by the
Council of the City of Greater Lithgow and Oberon Council in 1998

and any subsequent year.

This Regulation is made under the Fish River Water Supply Administration Act 1945, including section 8A (Fixing price of water) and section 19 (the general regulation making power).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Fish River Water Supply Administration
(Price of Water) Amendment Regulation 1998.

1. Amendment of Fish River Water Supply Administration (Price of Water) Regulation 1995

   The Fish River Water Supply Administration (Price of Water)

Regulation 1995 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

4 Price of water: prescribed rate

For the purposes of section 8A of the Act, the rate at which the price of water supplied to a council by the Administrator during 1998 or any subsequent year is to be calculated is $0.3356 per kilolitre.

For the purposes of section 8A of the Act, the minimum amount to be paid by a council for water supplied to it by the Administrator during 1998 or any subsequent year is:

(b) $88,598 for Oberon Council.
