Fish Resources Management Amendment

Regulations (No. 8) 2005

Made by the Lieutenant-Governor and Administrator in Executive
Council.

1.           Citation

These regulations are the Fish Resources Management
Amendment Regulations (No. 8) 2005.

2.            The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Fish Resources
Management Regulations 1995* .

3.            Regulation 16E amended

(1) Regulation 16E(3a) is amended as follows:

(a)

in paragraph (b) by deleting "or" and inserting " and ";

(b)

in paragraph (d) by deleting "or" and inserting " and ".

(2) Regulation 16E(3b) is amended as follows:

(a) in paragraph (b) by deleting "or" and inserting

instead —

(b) in paragraph (d) by deleting "or" and inserting

instead -

and

(3) After regulation 16E(3b) the following subregulation is

inserted -

(3c) Despite subregulations (3a) and (3b), the master of a
boat, other than a fishing boat, that is being used by
2 or more persons for taking fish must ensure that there
is not more than -
(a) twice the bag limit of blue manna crabs;

(b)

twice the bag limit of cuttlefish, octopus and squid;

(c) twice the bag limit of rock lobster; and

(d)

twice the bag limit of brownlip and greenlip abalone,

on, or attached to, the boat at any one time.

Penalty: $10 000 and the penalty provided in

section 222 of the Act.

4. Regulation amended

156 " 16E(3c), "

5.            Schedule 12 amended

Schedule 12 Part 2 item 4 is amended by inserting after "12(1) and (2)," -

" 16E(3c), "
