Fish Resources Management Amendment

Regulations (No. 5) 2012

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Fish Resources Management
Amendment Regulations (No. 5) 2012.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Fish Resources Management
Regulations 1995.

4.             Regulation 16E amended

(1) In regulation 16E(3A):

(a) in paragraph (b) delete “2 or more persons” and insert:

2 persons

(b) in paragraph (b)(v) delete “(combined).” and insert:

(combined);

(c) after paragraph (b) insert:

or

(c) if there are 3 or more persons on the boat —

(i)      2 days’ bag limit of blue manna crabs; and

(ii)      2 days’ bag limit of mud crabs (brown and green combined); and

(iii)      2 days’ bag limit of cuttlefish, octopus and squid (combined); and

(iv)      3 days’ bag limit of rock lobster; and

(v)      2 days’ bag limit of brownlip and greenlip abalone (combined).

(2) In regulation 16E(3B):

(a) in paragraph (b) delete “2 or more persons” and insert:

2 persons

(b) in paragraph (b)(v) delete “(combined).” and insert:

(combined);

(c) after paragraph (b) insert:

or

(c) if there are 3 or more persons on the boat —

(i)      2 days’ bag limit of blue manna crabs; and

(ii)      2 days’ bag limit of mud crabs (brown and green combined); and

In regulation 36(1)(a) and (c) delete “4” and insert:

In Schedule 3 Part 3 Division 4 delete the item relating to Rock
Lobster and insert:
