FISH RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AMENDMENT REGULATIONS (NO. 2) 1998
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
Citation
1. These regulations may be cited as the Fish Resources Management Amendment
Regulations (No. 2) 1998.
The regulations amended
2. The amendments in these regulations are to the Fish Resources Management
Regulations 1995* .

Regulation 19 amended
3. Regulation 19(1) is amended as follows: (b) after paragraph (e) by deleting the full stop and inserting
; and
(f)
in respect of fish taken in the waters of the Shark Bay eastern gulf or brought onto land in the eastern gulf land area (as those terms are defined in regulation 30D) twice the bag limit specified under regulation 30E(4)(b).
Regulation 30A amended
4. Regulation 30A is amended by deleting "32 ° 31.22' south latitude (Robert Point)" in
both places where it occurs and inserting instead —
" 32 ° 41' south latitude (Cape Bouvard) ".
Regulation 30E amended
5. (1) Regulation 30E(2) is repealed and the following inserted instead
(2) The bag limit referred to in subregulation (1) applies to a person —
(a) taking fish in the waters of the Shark Bay eastern gulf or the waters
Penalty: $3 000. of the Shark Bay western gulf, or both; or
(b)
bringing fish onto land in the eastern gulf land area or the western gulf land area.
(2) Regulation 30E(4) is repealed and the following inserted instead —
(4) For the purpose of section 50 of the Act the bag limit in respect of fish of any species, or combination of species, other than the species referred to in Part 6, Division 2 of Schedule 3 —
(a) taken — (i) in the waters of the Shark Bay western gulf; or
(ii)
in the waters of the Shark Bay western gulf and the Shark Bay eastern gulf,
or brought onto land in the western gulf area is 7 fish;
(b)
taken in the waters of the Shark Bay eastern gulf, or brought onto land in the eastern gulf land area is 5 fish,
provided that a bag limit imposed under subregulation (1) is not exceeded.
(5) A person must not bring pink snapper onto land in the eastern gulf land
area.

Regulation 114(1) amended
6. Regulation 114(1) is amended by deleting
" 3rd Floor SGIO Atrium" and inserting instead —
King Street Arcade
Ground Floor, SGIO Atrium
Schedule 2 amended
7. (1) Division 1 of Part 2 of Schedule 2 is amended in the definition of "setose" byinserting after "has" —
or is developing,".
(2) Division 3 of Part 2 of Schedule 2 is amended in both items commencing "Snapper,
Pink" —
(a) in the first item by deleting paragraph (b); and
(b) in the second item by deleting paragraph (a).
Schedule 3 amended
8. Division 1 of Part 6 of Schedule 3 is amended as follows:
(a) in the item commencing "Snapper. Pink" under the heading "Bag limit for one " 0 ";
(b) by deleting the column headed "Grouped bag limit for one day".
