Ordinance 1929, the Federal Capital Commission appointed

makes the following Regulations to come into operation forthwith.

F I S H PROTECTION (CLOSE SEASON) REGULATIONS.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fish Protection (Close short title.
Season) Regulations.
2.—(1.) The taking of any fish in any waters during the period close seasons,
commencing on the fourteenth day of April and ending on the thirty-
first day of October in each year is prohibited:
Provided that in any year in which Easter Sunday is later than the
thirteenth day of April , the period during which the taking of fish is
prohibited by this sub-r^ulatabn"sh^ll~c^mmenc¥pn the first Wednesday

(2.) The taking, in the waters of the Murrumbidgee River or the Molonglo River, during the period commencing on the fourteenth day of April and ending on the thirtieth day of November- in each year of any of the following kinds or species of fish is prohibited:—
Murray Cod (Oligorvs macquariensis).
Trout Cod (Oligorus mitchelli).
Golden Perch (Plectroplites amgibuus). Silver Perch (Terapon ellipticus). Macquarie Perch (Macquaria austral asica).
Catfish (Copidoglanis tandanus).
River Blackfish (Cadopsis marmbratus).
Provided that in any year in which Easter Sunday is later than the thirteenth day of April, the period during which the taking of fish is prohibited by this sub-regulation shall commence on the first "Wednesday following Easter Sunday.
(3.) A person shall not, at any time, take any fish from the waters ox the Condor Creek and its affluents or from the waters of that portion of the Coree Creek, together with its affluents, which lies above its junction with Lee's Creek.
3.—(1.) Any person who, in any period during which the taking of any kind or species of fish from any waters is prohibited, takes in those waters any fish of that kind or species shall be guilty of a breach of these Regulations.
Penalty: Eive pounds in respect of each and every fish so taken.
(2.) Any person who attempts so to take any such fish shall be
guilty of a breach of these Regulations.
Penalty: Eive pounds.
