FIRST STATE SUPERANNUATION ACT 1992—ORDER

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 7 of the First State Superannuation Act 1992, do, by this my Order, amend Schedule 1 to the Act (Employers) by inserting at the end of Part 1 of that Schedule the following name:

Benevolent Society of New South Wales (limited to Genoveva Almeida, Robyn Brooks, Adrian Ford, Caroline Lynn, Lynne Perl, Angela Plant, Elizabeth Sawtell, Beulah Warren, Pauline Wells, Barbara Wittig and Joan Lunz while continually employed by the Society).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Under the First State Superannuation Act 1992, employers within the meaning of the Act are required to make superannuation contributions in respect of certain of their employees to the First State Superannuation Fund kept under that Act. Schedule 1 to the Act lists organisations and bodies that are employers for the purposes of the Act. Section 7 of the Act authorises the Governor-in-Council, by order, to amend the Schedule.

The object of this Order is to include in the Schedule as an employer the Benevolent Society of New South Wales. but only in respect of certain persons who are or were employees of the Society.
