I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State
of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 7 of the First State Superannuation Act 1992, do, by this my Order, amend Schedule 1 to that Act (Employers), to take effect on and from 1 July 1994, by inserting at the end of Part 1 of that Schedule the following name:
Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games

EXPLANATORY NOTE
Under the First State Superannuation Act 1992 employers within the meaning of the Act are required to make superannuation contributions to the First State Superannuation Fund in respect of certain of their employees. Schedule 1 to the Act lists organisations and bodies that are employers for the purposes of the Act. Section 7 of the Act authorises the Governor-in-council, by Order, to amend the Schedule. The purpose of this Order is to amend the Schedule so as to include the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games in the list of employers.
The Order will be taken to have had effect on and from 1 July 1994. (Section 7 (2) of the Act authorises an Order to be made so that it has effect on and from a date that is earlier than the date of its publication.)
