GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 7 of the First State Superannuation Act 1992, make the following Order.

Explanatory note

Under the First State Superannuation Act 1992, employers within the meaning of that Act are required to make superannuation contributions in respect of certain employees to a fund kept under the Act. Schedule 1 to the Act lists organisations and bodies that are employers for the purposes of the Act. Section 7 of the Act authorises the Governor-in-Council, by Order, to amend the Schedule.

The object of this Order is to amend Schedule 1 to that Act to include Sydney

Catchment Authority in the list of employers.

Explanatory note

The Order is taken to have effect on and from 2 July 1999. (Section 7 (2) (a) of the Act enables an Order to be made with effect on and from a day that is earlier than the day the Order is published in the Gazette).
