An Act to amend the First Home Owner Grant Act 2000

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the First Home Owner Grant Amendment Act 2000 . 2CommencementThis Act is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2000. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the First Home Owner Grant Act 2000 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 3 amended (Interpretation) Section 3(1) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the definition of permanent resident and substituting the following definition: permanent resident means – (a) the holder of a permanent visa within the meaning of section 30 of the Migration Act 1958 of the Commonwealth; or (b) a New Zealand citizen who holds a special category visa within the meaning of section 32 of the Migration Act 1958 of the Commonwealth;
