FIREARMS AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1997

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation

1.    These regulations may be cited as the Firearms Amendment Regulations 1997.

Principal regulations

2.    In these regulations the Firearms Regulations 1974* are referred to as the principal

regulations.

Regulation 11A amended

3.    Regulation 11A of the principal regulations is amended by repealing subregulations

(4), (5) and (6).

Schedule 3 amended

4.    Schedule 3 to the principal regulations is amended in clause (1) under the heading

Restrictions for category C by deleting paragraph (a) and substituting the following para- graph—

(a)	it is for a shotgun and is granted or issued to a person who- (i) is described in section HA (2) (a) of the Act; and
(ii) of training for, and participating in, an approved national or international

requires the firearm for use as described in that provision for the purpose

shooting discipline;
