1. Name of regulation

   This regulation is the Firearms Amendment Regulation 2010 (No 1).

2. Commencement

   This regulation commences on the day after its notification day.

   NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3. Legislation amended

   This regulation amends the Firearms Act 1996.

   NoteThe Firearms Act 1996, s 7 (3) allows the Act, sch 1 to be amended by regulation.

4. Schedule 1, new item 23

   insert

23 a .50 BMG calibre firearm or a derivative
