FIREARMS ACT 1989—REGULATION

(Providing exemptions for officers of the Independent Commission Against

Corruption)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Firearms Act 1989, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Schedule 6 to the Firearms Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting

after clause 4 the following clause:

Independent Commission Against Corruption

4A. Officers of the Independent Commission Against Corruption: possession and use of pistols, but only while exercising or performing their functions as such officers.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to exempt officers of the Independent Commission Against Corruption from having to hold licences or permits under the Firearms Act to authorise them to possess or use pistols in the course of their
activities as such officers.
