FIREARMS ACT 1989—REGULATION
(Exempting Tasmanian shooters from requirement to hold certain licences)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Firearms Act 1989, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Firearms Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting in clause 93 (a)
after the word “Victoria,” the word “Tasmania,”.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Regulation is to exempt a person who is a resident of Tasmania from the requirement to hold a shooter licence—class 1 or a shooter licence—class 2 if the person holds a current equivalent Tasmanian licence.
This Regulation is made under the Firearms Act 1989, including section 56 (the
general regulation making power).
