FIREARMS ACT 1989 NO. 25 - PROCLAMATION

I, Rear Admiral Sir DAVID JAMES MARTIN, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Firearms Act 1989, do, by this my Proclamation:

(a)	appoint 1 July 1990 as the day on which that Act commences, except as provided by paragraph (b); and
(b)	appoint 1 June 1990 as the day on which section 57 of that Act commences for the purpose of repealing sections 54 and 55 of the Firearms and Dangerous Weapons Act 1973.
